About Aloha Ocean Adventures

Meet Keoki and Ikaika. Your surf instructors, Kanaka Maoli (Hawaiian), “bruddahs.”

They exude Aloha in and out of the water. The ocean is an integral part of their culture and a way of life. They have been surfing, paddling, fishing and diving for most of their life. They are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Hawaiian culture.

Ikaika is born and raised on Maui. He has surfed competitively in Stand up Paddleboarding, being able to experience the best waves from around the world. In 2010 Ikaika placed 10th in the world while competing in the SUP World Tour! Ikaika resides in Maui’s countryside of Kula mauka. With his wife and three young children.

Keoki was born and raised on the west side of Oahu Moku of Ewa. Spending most of his time surfing many of Hawaii’s world class surf breaks. That includes Yokohama bay(Keawaula bay), Makaha and the famous waves of the north shore. Keoki moved to Maui in 2005 and now resides in Kula Kai (Kihei) with his wife and two young daughters.

Keoki and Ikaika’s friendship started when they met and worked together as the top instructors at Maui Wave Riders surf school for well over a decade together. Soon after they realized many surf and ocean activities offered were not authentic and lacked Aloha, Hawaiian culture, Hawaiian knowledge & experience of the Ocean. Which was very important to them.

They have been teaching and sharing their profession and expertise for over 20 years. They were blessed with the opportunity to open their own company Aloha Ocean Adventures. Where they are now able to share their culture and knowledge always giving their guest an Authentic Hawaiian experience.
